The fateful day has arrived, after days and news chasing one after another, finally the most appreciated pop star of all time, Madonna, visited the excavations of Pompeii on the occasion of her birthday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No private party, no Grand Theater rented out to 500 guests. But a totally private guided tour given by the director of the Archaeological Park himself, Gabriel Zuchtriegel<\/strong>, to the famous singer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madonna visited the Pompeii excavations on her birthday, Friday, August 16, late in the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The director guided the pop-star through the streets of the ancient city. Stopping at Pompeii’s most beautiful and renowned houses, including the House of Menander<\/strong> and the House of the Ceii<\/strong>. Then on to the star of all time, not only ancient but also present, the Great Theater.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Menander House <\/a><\/strong> famous for its frescoes and magnificent and still intact peristyle overlooking a splendid garden. It takes its name from a fresco located in the porch of the house that depicts the playwright Menander himself.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

While the small and charming House of the Ceii<\/strong>, located directly opposite the House of Menander. It is famous for the decorations on the three garden walls depicting exotic animals and idyllic sacred landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madonna during the visit met with a group of Teenagers engaged in an artistic – creative path that ends in the staging of a classical play in the Great Theater of the ancient city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An important project called \u201cDream of Flying.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>Carried out and desired by the Archaeological Park to reduce the risk of school dropout and unemployment in a difficult but historically and artistically rich context<\/strong>. A Project that involves many children and young people from the Vesuvian area between Pompeii, Scafati, Torre Annunziata, Torre del Greco and Boscoreale<\/strong> to show that culture can really change their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boys performed at the exit of Menander’s house in the presence of Madonna, who was enthusiastic about the initiative and decided to fund the project. Allowing the final start, among a thousand difficulties, of the show that will be staged in May 2025 right at the Teatro Grande.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
