It opened, in fact, only partially in the atrium area in 2016, only to close again to proceed with the rest of the work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The House of the Vettii, discovered around 1894, was owned by two slaves, Aulus Vettius Restitutus and Aulus Vettius Conviva, who became wealthy through the wine trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A luxurious mansion, it is rich in frescoes especially with erotic themes. Also famous for the famous painting of Priapus (God of abundance) ,found in the entrance of the house, intent on weighing his enormous phallus .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/seepompeii.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/CASA-DEI-VETII-POMPEI-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Atrio Casa dei Vettii di Pompei\" class=\"wp-image-2274\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seepompeii.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/CASA-DEI-VETII-POMPEI-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/seepompeii.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/CASA-DEI-VETII-POMPEI-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/seepompeii.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/CASA-DEI-VETII-POMPEI-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/seepompeii.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/CASA-DEI-VETII-POMPEI-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/seepompeii.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/CASA-DEI-VETII-POMPEI-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/seepompeii.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/CASA-DEI-VETII-POMPEI.jpg 1999w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The house underwent a complete restoration, all rooms were recovered, including the garden present inside the peristyle.
