Where to see the Ferragosto fires on the Amalfi Coast

The Ferragosto fires, in fact, represent a way to end the summer season almost at the end. And to thank in the most important moment all the tourists who choose the Coast for their vacations.

So everyone with their noses in the air to admire the fireworks display up close in the most beautiful coastal locations overlooking the sea.

But where can you see the August fireworks?

First of all, one of the first cities to kick off the fireworks display will be Maiori, where the fireworks will be launched from the platform in the marina at around 11:00 p.m.

Next, it will be Amalfi’s turn, which will light up the entire city with sparkling lights and colors at around 11:30 p.m. The fireworks will be launched from the Molo Pennello, near the port of Amalfi. The event will be visible from the Lungomare dei Cavalieri and the nearby beach of Atrani, with the pier area closed to traffic at around 10:00 p.m.

Next, it will be Positano‘s turn, which, as per tradition, will begin the celebrations at around 11:50 p.m. with an extraordinary show overlooking the sea, which will enchant young and old alike.

In short, it will be an unforgettable evening, with the scent of the sea, the summer breeze, and the view of the lights, all enhanced by the spectacle of thousands of lights from the seaside village reflecting in the water below.

Fireworks also on the Sorrento Coast

But in addition to these coastal towns this year there is another one positioned on the opposite side of the Amalfi Coast, also overlooking the sea.

We are talking about the most important city on the Sorrento coast, Sorrento. Here, too, in the setting of the Gulf of Naples at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, a show of brilliant colors will again be held.

It will begin around 11:30 pm. And for about an hour the extraordinary display of fireworks will keep the thousands of people who will crowd the streets of the city with bated breath.

Everything will take place in front of the Sorrento shoreline where three floating platforms will be moored. The pontoons, however, will be deployed in such a way as to ensure that the entire city and even those overlooking from vantage points in the other municipalities of the peninsular area can enjoy the exciting spectacle.
