Every year, the Municipality of Pompeii organizes numerous events, including fairs, markets, festivals and concerts that cheer not only the residents but also the many tourists who come to visit Pompeii.

Events in which everyone can participate, admission is free and free of charge. And they cover not only the tourist sector, but also food and wine, crafts and art.

All events are held in Pompeii’s main square, close to the Shrine and a stone’s throw from the entrance to the Archaeological Excavations in Piazza Anfiteatro, so in the heart of Pompeii.

Taste Italy on Tour May 18-21

This year we start with the big event dedicated to Taste totally Made in Italy.

In Piazza Bartolo Longo from Thursday, May 18 to Sunday, May 21, Pompeii will host Gusto Italia in Tour.

A Taste Village dedicated to the promotion of typical Italian products of excellence. In which taste workshops will also take place, with chefs offering show cooking. As well as a corner dedicated to totally handmade craft creations.

Staying in Pompeii during this period will give you the opportunity not only to learn about the beauty and history of ancient Pompeii. But also to savor, taste and discover all the typical Italian specialties and why not even learn some tricks of the beloved Italian cuisine.

The Taste Village, with free admission, is open from 10 a.m. to midnight, at Bartolo Longo Square.

Pompeii Street Festival from June 27 to July 02

To follow from June 27 to July 02, Pompeii will host the third edition of Pompeii Street Festival.

A unique and unmissable event for all lovers of art and street art.

All the main streets of Pompeii, but also the Archaeological Park will welcome artists from all over the world, who will create their wonderful works of art, not only on canvas but also on Pompeii’s peripheral walls.

The event is divided into five sections dedicated to art, music, street art, film and photography.

The aim is to promote legality, precarious work, urban redevelopment and environmental protection through painting, photography and music.

All with free and free admission.
