The Amalfi Coast with its wonderful beaches and cliffs overlooking the sea are a favorite destination for thousands of tourists every year. Who choose to spend their vacations or just one day in the crystal clear sea of the Gulf of Salerno.
Breathtaking views, picturesque villages overhanging the sea, unspoiled nature are just some of the elements that make this place the most beautiful and well-known in the world.
But as with all stretches of coastline, between cliffs, steep paths and steps, not all beaches are easy to reach and within everyone’s reach.
So here is a list of the most beautiful and easy-to-reach beaches not to be missed during a visit to these areas.
Beaches in Positano
Let’s start with the magnificent Positano with its Spiaggia Grande beach, one of the most beautiful and enchanting, but above all the most convenient to reach and suitable for children and the elderly.
The Spiaggia Grande, not far from the historic center and next to the pier where hydrofoils and shuttle services depart, is undoubtedly one of the most convenient to reach. But also, one of the most enchanting, with its colorful little houses and the dome of the famous church of Santa Maria Assunta overlooking the sea.
It is one of the most iconic and well-known locations on the Amalfi Coast. And it is also one of the ideal places to take postcard photos.

Fornillo beach, amidst a magnificent and wild laui8indscape, represents one of the most fascinating corners of the coast. Much smaller than the nearby big beach, it has all the amenities, such as parking lots near the beach that make it easy to access the bathing establishments and the totally free stretch of coastline. But also hotels and restaurants.
A picture-postcard landscape, with a crystal clear sea that can be reached either by car, as mentioned earlier for those who want a comfortable, family-friendly approach. Or on foot, between stairs and descents typical of the coastal landscape, but not impossible even with families with older children, in ten minutes from Positano’s seafront.
Amalfi Beaches

And we come to the world-famous Amalfi, one of the most beloved destinations along with Positano to absolutely visit.
Between culture, sea and wonderful cliffs it is one of the favorite places for thousands of tourists. Here, too, there is no shortage of wonderful beaches, many difficult to reach between coves and rocky ridges. Others more convenient, such as the attractive and very large beach of marina Grande.
Spacious, clean, suitable for children, families and the elderly, free and fee-paying, surrounded by beautiful scenery, it is an ideal place for those who do not want to face steep slopes to reach the sea. But despite all these merits, there is always one small flaw: crowded. So the only remedy to avoid being without an umbrella is to leave early in the morning.
Maiori and Minori
Moving away from the most popular destinations on the coast, we find Maiori and Minori. Already of their names one can guess the difference of both. One larger than the other, but close and united that allow the convenient movement from one to the other, especially, to attend the many summer events that are organized in town.
Both perfectly equipped, comfortable and with all the amenities for a relaxing and evocative vacation, typical of the Amalfi Coast. With an incredible landscape between mountains, sea and the fragrant terraces cultivated with citrus trees, a landscape dominated by a rich historical and cultural heritage.
Here you can enjoy both paid beach services and the few free stretches of coastline. And the beaches are within everyone’s reach, easily accessible thanks to the promenade, with no stairs, or steep climbs and descents. But even here there is no shortage of crowding.
Beach of Cetara and Erchie
And finally, we cannot fail to mention two other tiny jewels of the Amalfi Coast, much further from Amalfi and Positano and very close to Vietri sul Mare, we are talking about Erchie and Cetara. Two spectacular seaside villages, with large rocky ridges that break into the blue of the crystal clear sea. Perfectly equipped, with convenient paid parking lots and presence of both paid establishments and small free stretches.
Erchie boasts one of the most crystal-clear seas on the Amalfi Coast; here you’ll find Marina di Erchie beach, the largest in the village, enclosed between two Saracen watchtowers. Unspoiled natural landscape, purest air. Access by car is possible up to a certain point, after which you can only get to the beach by descending a flight of steps.

In Cetara, on the other hand, you will find the Beach of the Marina and the harbor beach among the most convenient and practical. Parking lots are adjacent to the beaches, for a day of absolute relaxation. Parking lots are adjacent to the beaches, for a day of absolute relaxation. And in the surroundings you will find bars, restaurants, typical stores where you can buy some souvenirs and a wonderful landscape to photograph.
The two villages are easily reached by car, while they are more inconvenient for those who reach them coming down the provincial road, but not impossible. So if you are trained for small climbs, you may also decide to reach Cetara and Erchie on foot.
Vietri sul mare
And for those who do not like the typical twists and turns of coastal places or suffer from car sickness, then all you have to do is mirror yourself in the sea of Vietri sul Mare. The city of ceramics is the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. An enchanting place between sea and hill, colored by its very famous Vietresi ceramics.
