On the occasion of the “European Night of Museums” initiative, the Pompeii Archaeological Park on Saturday, May 13, 2023 will be open from 20:00 to 23:00.
It will be possible to access the site from the Porta Marina entrance.
The route illuminated by Enel Sole will include a visit to:
- To the Forum of Pompeii, the main square of the ancient city where all the daily activities of ancient Pompeians took place.
- The Temple of Apollo, one of Pompeii’s places of worship
- The Macellum, inside which meat and fish were sold in ancient times
- The Basilica, the courthouse of ancient Pompeii
And it will end at the Antiquarium, the Museum of Pompeii, which houses all the artifacts found during the excavation work carried out in the Archaeological Park.
The entrance fee is €1, free for Minors under 18 Years.

The Ministry of Culture’s initiative has also been joined by the sites of Oplontis with the extraordinary nighttime opening of the Villa of Poppea, Boscoreale with the opening of the Villa Regina and Villa San Marco in Stabiae.
Tickets can be purchased on site for admission to the Oplontis park only. And online at the ticketone site for both Oplontis and Boscoreale.
While admission to the Stabiae site is completely free.
