Another year rich in concerts is on the horizon in Pompeii. As always, in 2026, the Roman Amphitheater of Pompeii, one of the oldest examples of an arena still standing today, will be transformed into a unique and evocative stage.

After the great success of 2024 and 2025, the most famous and visited amphitheater in the world is preparing to welcome numerous events by the greatest national and international artists in 2026.

The list is provisional for the moment but will gradually be enriched with the participation of other world-renowned artists. Of Monsters and Men concert June 24

Formed in 2010, the historic indie-folk/indie-pop band from Iceland will perform at the amphitheater in Pompeii on June 24 at 9:00 p.m.

The group “Of Monsters and Men” has achieved worldwide fame thanks to evocative folk/pop melodies, rich arrangements, evocative voices, and atmospheres that combine delicacy and power: perfect for those who love emotional yet energetic music.

Beat Concert in Pompeii

And exclusively, on July 2, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., the group formed by former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin will perform on stage at the Pompeii amphitheater, joining forces for the first time with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and explosive Tool drummer Danny Carey to create Beat. A creative reinterpretation of King Crimson’s three iconic albums from the 1980s: Discipline, Beat, and Three Of A Perfect Pair.

Riccardo Cocciante at the Pompeii Amphitheater on July 4

On July 4, 2026, one of the greatest artists in Italian music, Riccardo Cocciante, will take to the exciting stage of the Pompeii Amphitheater in a unique event where voice, emotion, and great hits will come together under the starry sky among the ancient ruins.

Pat Metheny at the Amphitheatre of Pompeii

On July 6, 2026, the Amphitheatre of Pompeii will be transformed into an unparalleled stage for an evening of pure musical magic. Against the backdrop of ancient ruins, Pat Metheny, living legend of jazz guitar and winner of 20 Grammy Awards, will bring his unmistakable sound, capable of blending jazz, fusion, and improvisation into a genre-defying sound experience.

2026 Opeth Concert, Pompeii Amphitheater

In a still provisional list, this year’s spectacular concerts at the Amphitheater of Pompeii in 2026 will be kicked off by Opeth, the legendary Swedish progressive metal band led by Mikael Åkerfeldt.

The band, formed in 1990, has graced stages around the world with hit songs such as “Deliverance,” “Ghost of Perdition,” “The Drapery Falls,” “Bleak,” and “Burden.”

This year, for the first time, they will perform on July 10, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., in the most iconic venue of Italian culture.

Coez in Pompeii

Coez, one of the most beloved artists on the Italian music scene, will perform at the amphitheater in Pompeii in his live show “From the Rooftop,” transforming this extraordinary archaeological space into a stage of true emotions.

The extraordinary artist will perform on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 9:00 p.m.

Riccardo Muti Concert, July 18

Once again in 2026, the great Italian conductor, Riccardo Muti , will conduct the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra, made up of talented young Italian musicians, in an evening that will combine classical tradition and expressive power.

The maestro will perform at the amphitheater in Pompeii on July 18 at 9:00 p.m.

Claudio Baglioni in concert in Pompeii on July 20 and 21

On July 20 and 21, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., the amphitheater in Pompeii will welcome one of the greatest artists in Italian music, Claudio Baglioni. With his summer grand tour “La Vita è adesso” (Life is now), he will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the album of the same name, the best-selling album in Italy.

A sensational tour that will be celebrated on two dates in one of the most magical places in history.

Marcus Miller, July 21, 2026

Marcus Miller, American bassist, composer, and record producer, considered one of the masters of funk, will perform in concert at the amphitheater in Pompeii on July 21, with the project “We Want Miles.”

He will be accompanied by some exceptional fellow musicians, including Mike Stern on guitar, Bill Evans on saxophone, and Mino Cinelu on percussion. The band will be completed by three young talents who already play with Marcus Miller: Russell Gunn on trumpet, Brett Williams on keyboards, and Anwar Marshall on drums.

Marillion, Amphitheater of Pompeii

The British progressive rock band will return to Italy, specifically to Pompeii’s grand amphitheater, for a major show on July 25 and 26, starting at 9:00 p.m.

Savatage in concert in Pompeii

Savatage, the legendary progressive metal band, will return to Europe in the summer of 2026 with their highly anticipated “Prelude To Madness Tour.” One of the highlights of their grand tour will be the Amphitheatre of Pompeii on July 27.

The band will perform a spectacular show, accompanied live by a 27-piece orchestra, an arrangement that promises to make the show unique and unforgettable.
